Our call provided a comprehensive look at Greater Allen Cathedral’s current ministry landscape, leadership priorities, and the strategic objectives driving the next season. Below is a structured recap of the discussion, including the growth goals and the coaching approach we aligned on.1. Ministry Context & Leadership Objectives
Pastor Stephen expressed a clear desire to strengthen Sunday consistency, deepen leadership alignment, and build the systems necessary to support long-term growth. A major focus of the conversation was clarifying the church’s capacity to reach and retain more people by improving both the weekend experience and the evangelism pipeline.
2. Growth Goals & Strategic Direction
Primary Growth Target
Add 500 additional weekly attendees to Sunday services over the next ministry cycle.
Accomplish this through a combination of enhanced Sunday execution, systemized follow-up, and targeted evangelism windows tied to the church calendar.
Evangelism-Focused Calendar Strategy
We outlined a growth plan rooted in leveraging high-impact Sundays as intentional outreach moments. These dates naturally gather energy, draw new guests, and help catalyze invitation culture. Key weekends discussed include:
Vision Sunday / Theme Launch
Easter Weekend
Mother’s Day
Fall Kickoff / Back-to-Church Sunday
Christmas Season Openers
Baptism/Decision Sundays
Major felt-need series kickoffs
Each of these weekends will be designed as an “evangelism accelerator,” supported by communication, targeted invitations, storytelling, and a robust next-steps pathway.
Supporting Systems Required
We talked through the necessity of strengthening Sunday’s structure so it can hold and retain the additional growth. This includes:
Cleaner service flow and transitions
Stronger worship + production consistency
A predictable and warm guest experience
Clear pathways for first-time guests
Volunteer capacity increases
Refined assimilation and membership systems
This ensures that growth is not just event-driven but sustained.
3. Coaching Structure & Expectations
We reviewed the full coaching framework and aligned on the following:
Coaching Components
Bi-weekly 90-minute strategy sessions focused on system-building, leadership, Sunday execution, and organizational clarity.
Six Office Hours sessions that can be used for staff development, worship/production alignment, operations coaching, or targeted problem-solving. You asked strong questions about how to utilize these effectively, and we walked through several use cases, including meeting with ops, worship, MD, production, or executive leaders to reinforce key systems.
Real-time support between sessions for leadership decisions, service reviews, and implementation questions.
A commitment on my end to over-deliver — ensuring the value of the partnership is consistently felt and measurable.
4. Importance of In-Person Assessment
We talked extensively about the value of seeing the ministry in the room. I emphasized that livestreams don’t reveal the gaps, nuances, or opportunities that become clear when sitting in the sanctuary — sound, transitions, volunteer posture, production timing, guest movement, and overall flow.
This conversation set the groundwork for the agreed-upon on-site audit.
5. Weekend Experience Audit (Dec 6–8)
We confirmed the on-site Weekend Experience Audit for December 6–8. This visit will include:
Observation of all Sunday systems
Evaluation of worship, production, hospitality, communication, and service flow
Leadership interviews
Pre/post-service execution review
Assessment of back-end structures that support Sunday
A detailed written report will be delivered, forming the foundation of the six-month coaching plan.
6. Package Clarification & Investment
We reviewed both coaching tiers, compared deliverables, and aligned on the full six-month coaching partnership.
Agreement: Six-month engagement at $3,000 per month.
Travel: Church covers travel for the December audit and future in-person visits as needed.
As discussed, in-person visits beyond the audit require no honorarium — only travel — once the coaching partnership is active.
Scheduling Your Bi-Weekly 90-Minute Coaching Sessions & Office Hour Sessions
To ensure you receive the full value of our coaching partnership, please follow the guidelines below for scheduling your bi-weekly sessions:
1. Client Responsibility for Scheduling
All bi-weekly 90-minute coaching sessions are scheduled and maintained by the client. This ensures you have full control over timing, cadence, and alignment with your upcoming ministry needs and leadership priorities.
2. Booking Window
You may schedule sessions up to two months in advance. We strongly encourage clients to book several sessions at a time to secure preferred dates and maintain a consistent rhythm.
3. How to Schedule
Use the private scheduling platform here. Select any available 90-minute block that fits your calendar. Once a session is booked, you will receive an automated confirmation and calendar invitation.
4. Maintaining Consistency
Because coaching is most effective when sessions follow a steady cadence, we recommend maintaining your bi-weekly pattern throughout the engagement. Clients may adjust dates as needed, but consistency builds momentum and accelerates results.
5. Rescheduling
If a conflict arises, sessions may be rescheduled through the same link. We ask that changes be made at least 24 hours in advance whenever possible.
